I have to plug these guys... [Oct. 25th, 2008|12:33 pm]

Good Old Games is a web-based computer game purchase place, and every single game they sell is completely free of draconian DRM. Buy it, download it, play it as much as you want. They have some great classics like the entire Fallout series, Descent, Shogo: MAD, MDK 2, and lots more - all for under $10. If I didn't already have most of those games, I would totally be getting copies.

No problem; I always support people that are willing to bring the old-but-great games back. Apparently, they have packaged the old DOS games (like Descent) with DOSBox for proper emulation, and are making it as easy as possible to play them.

Also, it looks like they got nearly the entire Interplay back catalogue. Hopefully, more companies will go along with this... LucasArts back catalogues would be pretty sexy (Grim Fandango, anyone?).
